Everything you need to know
From check-in to check-out, here's everything you need to plan the perfect stay at Lake of the Woods.
Lake of the Woods is located on Route 260 (White Mountain Blvd.) in the city of Pinetop/Lakeside in the White Mountains. We are approximately 3 to 3½ hours northeast of Phoenix and 4 hours from Tucson. The resort consists of 26 cabins and 7 condo-style units located on 25 acres, including its own private lake. No fishing license is required. We stock our lake with rainbow trout and there are blue gill, catfish and large mouth bass too.
WIFI, linens, towels (One set per person), kitchenware (pots, pans, plates, cups, utensils, paper towels and Salt and Pepper), 12 cup drip coffee maker, microwave, fireplace, DirecTV, charcoal or propane grill, outdoor seating. Electric heat — no A/C. Condos and Cabin 24 include dishwasher (dishwasher pods provided). Condos include row boat May 1 through October 31 (weather permitting)

Check-in is at 3:00 PM. Early check-in not accepted before 2:00 PM. We do not guarantee your cabin will be ready before 3:00 PM. If your cabin is ready 2–3 PM we'll let you in early.
Check-out is 10:00 AM for Cabin 24 and Condo units Oaks, Pines, Chalet and Lakewood and 11:00 AM for all other cabins/condos.
Arriving after 5:00 PM? Please call us in advance for key pickup instructions.
Dogs are welcome with a $25(plus tax) fee per stay, per dog. Dogs must be on a leash at ALL TIMES when outside your cabin. Please clean up after your dog at all times.
No fishing license is required. Our private lake is stocked with rainbow trout and also has blue gill, catfish, and large mouth bass. Our lake is for fishing and boating only — we do not allow people or pets to swim in the lake.
Trout and Large Mouth Bass Fishing:
Trout and Bass are cold water fish. The best times to catch Trout and Bass is from Late Fall through Spring
Summer months are best for Bullhead Catfish and Blue Gill
We have row boats and a Peddle Boat available for rent approximately May 1 through October 31 (weather permitting) at $10/hour 1st hour and $5 each additional hour.
Due to insurance regulations, personal watercraft may no longer be used at Lake of the Woods.
Our private lake offers great fishing and boating. We have 2 ping pong tables, 1 pool table for guest use. We also have a horseshoe Pit, Shuffle Board and a playground for children. Nearby: hiking, hunting, horseback riding, Family Fun Park with go-carts and mini golf as well as skiing at Sunrise Park Resort (35 minutes away), and many other White Mountains outdoor activities.
A 2-night down payment is required via Visa/MasterCard/Discover to make reservations. There is a 60-day cancellation Policy on the Chalet, Lakewood, Pines, Oaks and Cabin 24. There is a 30-day cancellation policy for non-holiday reservations for all other cabins. There is a 60-day for holiday bookings. Holidays include Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years.
