Cabin Rentals

Cabin FAQs

Check-in time: 3:00 p.m. If you are going to arrival after office hours, please advise us so we may give you instructions about where to pick up your keys. We will arrange to have you stop by the office the following day to sign your paperwork, etc.

Check-out time: 10:00 a.m. for the Lakewood, Chalet, Pines, Oaks and cabin 24. All other cabins, check out is by 11:00 a.m.

Fishing:  Since we are a private lake and we stock our lake with rainbow trout, NO LICENSE is required. There are also blue gills, bass and catfish in the lake. Please use one pole per angler and you may keep 5 fish per day per angler if you plan to eat them. If you don’t, we ask that you catch and release.

Pets:  Pets are welcome! There is a $10 fee per pet per visit. We will ask you to sign our pet policy (a copy is available online) and register your pet(s) when you check in. We hope everyone will abide by some simple rules we have put in place in an effort to show mutual respect for each other and the property.

Firewood:  We are no longer able to provide free firewood but you are welcome to bring your own for the fireplaces. Wood can be purchased from local stores such as Circle K, Safeway and Wal-Mart. Please do not have a fire going in your fireplace unless you are inside the cabin – and do not start a fire the morning you are departing. If you leave a fire going when you check out, we reserve the right to charge you an additional fee.

Boat Rentals:  Row boats are available from approximately April 1 through October 31 – weather permitting. For the safety of our guests, we reserve the right to determine when the boats are put in and taken out each year – and to deny use of the boats on days when weather conditions make it dangerous to be out on the lake. The Lakewood, Chalet, Pines, Shores, Cedars, Oaks and Aspens have boats assigned to their units. Boats rentals are available for all other cabins for a nominal hourly/daily rate.

Accommodations:  All our cabins have kitchens/kitchenettes (small refrigerators) and wood-burning fireplaces (except the Cedars which has a gas fireplace). Since we are no longer able to provide free wood you may purchase wood locally or feel free to bring it with you.

Grills:  Each cabin has its own grill (either charcoal or gas). Charcoal fires are allowed in the grills unless we are under a red flag warning. If there is a weather advisory, we will post red flags around the property – or you may check with the office to make sure you can use charcoal. During “red flag” days, gas grills may be used, but you must attend the fire at all times. For cabins with charcoal grills, we have placed several gas grills in the common area if you wish to BBQ. These grills are to be shared by all cabins so we ask you to leave them in the common area and not bring them to your cabin. NOTE: Wood burning outside the cabin is NOT permitted within city limits. Therefore, please do not try and burn logs in our grills.

Amenities:  We have a playground for children under age 12; two pool tables; a ping pong table; shuffleboard courts; horseshoe pit; two Jacuzzis and a sauna.

Our Community:  We are located in Pinetop-Lakeside, approximately 3 ½ hours northeast of Phoenix and 4 hours northeast of Tucson. Our town has lots of hiking areas, horseback riding (seasonal), parks, antiquing, a fun park with miniature golf and go-carts, a bowling alley, lots of restaurants, and several grocery stores if you plan to cook your meals in your cabins. Skiing is available at Sunrise Park Ski Resort each winter and we are located approximately 35 minutes west of the resort.

Resort Policies:  We have taken the time to prepare booklets for each cabin outlining our policies, explaining our amenities, and giving general information about Lake of the Woods. We ask all guests to review the books when they arrive. These policies and explanations are meant to help everyone have a safe, wonderful experience at our resort.
